Our Story
Ledford Construction & Development is a 3rd generation residential builder serving the Joplin and surrounding area for over 32 years. Brothers James & Lance Ledford were raised working with and learning about the construction industry from their father and grandfather, both with a long history of building residential and commercial projects in the Joplin area. Our company primarily builds in Joplin but has expanded over the past couple of years to include projects in both Webb City & Carl Junction.
We build new construction homes, most are speculative, but depending on the customers budget, we also build custom & semi-custom. We build to suit and work side by side with each customer and their budget to give them the best home possible, while still maintaining high quality building standards.

We are a small family owned business with the first-time homebuyer in mind. We also attract those looking to downsize while not sacrificing style or quality. What sets us apart from our competition is the commitment to the customer. The owners, Lance and James Ledford, both work side by side each customer, insuring face to face discussions and decisions are made between the customer and contractor, no supervisor or middle man involved. From the moment a customer enters our office to the moment they are handed the keys to their new home, we value the customers opinion and expectations and do what we can to give each customer the individual treatment necessary to insure the home meets the quality and standard they should expect when building a new home.
